Beat Kumin is Professor of Early Modern European History at the University of Warwick. A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and member of the AHRC Peer Review College, his previous works include Drinking Matters: Public Houses and Social Exchange in Early Modern Central Europe and (as editor) Political Space in Pre-Industrial Europe.
