The present book juxtaposes theories of grammatical models in bilingualism extracted and construed from informal judgments, i.e., judgments from the linguist, against a set of formal judgments coming from bilinguals whose L2 proficiencies differ from one another. In this research, the Functional Parameter Constraint theory serves as the reference to which acceptability judgments from the Moroccan Arabic-French bilingual community would be compared. The findings of this method allow for the testing of the credibility of the constraints on bilingualism, that are based on informal judgments, which purport to be exhaustive and accurate regardless of their negligence to variables such as L2 proficiencies and potentially biased data collection methodologies.

Khaya, YassineYassine Khaya is a an aspiring Moroccan Linguist who is very keen on the theoretical side of Linguistics. His interests range from Semantics, Syntax and Phonology, to Sociolinguistics and Pragmatics. He got his BA from the Univeristy of Mohamed V Rabat, and continued his post graduate education at the University of Ibn Tofail Kenitra.
