Playwrights were inspired to write plays about the audience, about its problems, hopes and fears. The Author: E.D. Karampetsos holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the CUNY Graduate School. He has published The Sacrifice of Abraham, an adaptation of and introduction to a seventeenth century Greek play. His work has appeared in various journals including Comparative Literature Studies, World Literature Today, Journal of Modern Greek Studies, Literary Half-Yearly and Film Quarterly.
