The international on the trafficking in persons evolved from the abolition of centuries ago Black and White Slave Trades, a historical shift from ownership to exploitation. It has collected a considerable sum of international, regional and national debates, for which laws and policies have been formulated to eradicate it. The International law on the subject has been divided into two periods i.e. Non-Modern period of International law and Modern period of International law. The former period is further divided into two sets i.e. period of Black slave trade and period of White slave trade. The latter period is also further divided into two sets i.e. period of the League of Nations and period of the United Nations. Pakistan also showed its criminal justice response to combat the problem. In addition to general laws and special provincial laws, Pakistan has enacted two special Federal laws on the subject i.e PACHTO and PTPA. The contemporary national law is evaluated with other lawsand international standards. This book is worth reading over the issue of trafficking in persons, internationally, regionally and nationally.
