As for translation studies, translation has started and is continuing its serious, scholarly growth in every direction since the beginning of the twentieth century, through myriad research, resulting in fresh findings pertained to all corners of written and oral language communication. Vahid Dastjerdi, HosseinDr. Hossein Vahid Dastjerdi is associate professor of applied linguistics and has taught courses of variegated character during his academic career. He has published a good number of articles in local and international journals. His research interests include metaphoricity of language, discourse analysis, pragmatics and critical discourse analysis.
