The old traditional system was self sufficient and required no written rules. On the other hand, it did have several demerits. The new system has a binding effect on all the villages and empowers the tribal panchayat presidents with certain powers and responsibilities. A question that requires an answer is; what is their performance like? The objectives of the study are all primarily aimed at answering this burning question. Finally, it is hoped that this book will arise and awake, the spirit of the tribal panchayat presidents to keep working until their goal of empowerment is attained. This was the dream of Swami Vivekananda.
