The use of contraceptive methods has become an essential factor in the life of most women of reproductive age, although it varies in different stages of their life course. Long-acting reversible contraceptive methods (LARC) are modern "methods of contraception with efficacy completely independent of adherence to any chosen method. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) sets two targets for maternal health: to reduce maternal mortality and to achieve universal access to reproductive healthcare. The universal access to reproductive health may also increase contraceptive choices which may promote women's reproductive and sexual health rights, prevent the risk of unwanted pregnancies, and maternal morbidity and mortality during childbirth. The uptake of LARC- a modern contraceptive choice that is user independent with assumable high efficacy rate may be the revolution with potential ability to reduce high fertility rate in the resource constraint countries and beyond.
