It analyzes existing methods and techniques of active citizenship in different parts of the world, from India to Turkey and from Bosnia to Iraq, it highlights current issues (from the phenomenon of Islamic State to the Kurdish question), addresses the issue of the military system and at the same time it offers at least some glimpses into peaceful coexistence.

Nadja Furlan Stante is a Senior Research Fellow and an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Science and Research Institute Koper.Maja Lamberger Khatib, PhD, has graduated from History and Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology.
Anja Zalta, is an Assistant Professor for Sociology of Religion at the Sociology Department, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.
