In the year 12-07-41, our President Roosevelt announced over Dad's old Philco Battery Radio that Japan had bombed Pearl Harbor. This was on Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. He said thousands of people lost their lives and many ships were destroyed. Scratching out a living and raising a family was hard for everyone. Living conditions and having enough to eat was a challenge. This was a way of life for most people back then with nothing to compare it to,
