As a child I recall enjoying a series of books with titles such as The Biography of a Bear or Biography of a Deer, etc. Hoping to give my grandchildren the same enjoyment I had experienced I searched, but was unable to find these books or any like them. I decided to write my own. I chose the story of the Western Robin. Each spring my wife and I enjoy watching a family returns to build a nest in the flowers on our porch.
I enjoy oil painting so I chose to do my own illustrations.
