Dr. Arun Thirumurugan is an assistant professor at the University of Atacama, Sede Vallenar, Vallenar, Chile. He has completed his PhD (2010-2015) from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, India. He has worked as a postdoctoral fellow (2015-2017) at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, India, and then worked as a FONDECYT postdoctoral fellow (2017-2020) at the University of Chile, Santiago, Chile. His research interests are in synthesizing and surface modification of nanomaterials for the potential applications in energy and environmental applications.
