This book is a textbook which specializes in analysis, interpretation and study of television programs cases. It can serve as a reference book for students majoring in radio and television and related courses. This book contains five categories of TV programs, 27 carefully selected major program cases, hundreds of introductions to related programs, and hundreds of program-related pictures. Cases in this book are carefully selected, with a focus on domestic television programs. This book makes classic television programs around the world as references and the the historical development of one kind of TV program as its background. It also sets the future development of TV programs in the new media era as its goal. Two aspects are taken into consideration in case selection: one is the classic case which mostly has a long history and exerts profound influence; the other is the new, innovative one which is fresh and reflects the current situation of TV program development. We hope that through these cases, we will introduce the background, structure, characteristics and innovation of the TV program in a more in-depth way, give a more comprehensive picture of the history and current situation of the program development, and associate the knowledge of Chinese TV programs with that of related programs in foreign countries. In this way, the mutual influence among programs will be revealed objectively and readers can deepen their understanding of the relevant knowledge.
