David Casto is a mechanic and amateur historian living in Maumelle, Arkansas. He is a member and Secretary/Treasurer of the General James McPherson Camp, Sons of Union Veterans in Little Rock. He earned the Charles O. Durnett Award for preliminary chapters of Arkansas Late in the Civil War in 2012.
