Marco Bellinaso is a freelance software developer. He livesin a small town close to Venice, Italy. He has been working withVB, C/C++, ASP and other Microsoft tools for several years,specializing in User Interface, API, ActiveX/COM design andprogramming. He is now spending all his time on the .NETFramework, using C# and VB.NET.He is particularly interested in e-commerce design andimplementation solutions with SQL Server, ASP.NET, and webservices. He is a team member at www.vb2themax.com, for which hewrites articles and commercial software, such as add-ins for MSVisual Studio and other utilities for VB and .NET developers.Marco recently co-authored "Beginning C#" from Wrox Press, and isalso a contributing editor for two leading Italian programmingmagazines: Computer Programming and Visual Basic Journal (Italianlicensee for Visual Studio Magazine). He first got hooked when he received a CommodoreVIC-20 from his grandfather, who had repaired it after finding itin the trash. He then started a prolific but unprofitable careerwriting shareware games and utilities for electronic bulletin boardsystems.He started working as a programmer while still in college, writingcomputer interfaces to solar measurement devices and various otherscientific instruments. Moving to Oregon, he did everything fromtechnical support to tuning Unix kernels, and eventually working asan ASP programmer for 800.COM, a popular on-line electronicsretailer. From there he moved on to working on large, enterpriseASP applications.Then he finally found .NET, which he now spends 100% of hisprogramming and learning efforts on.
