Produktinformationen zu „Connie Law (ePub)“
Giving Connie life was one thing her mother, Mary Law, could do for her daughter on that desperately sun-drenched day in 1835. Her bedroom door barely kept the sand out and couldnt mask the drunken party below or Marys weak screams and anguished cries. Zack Law was furious when he learned Mary had delivered a beautiful, healthy girl that day. He cussed at Mary, Connie, and the doctor then abruptly rode away.
Here then is the story of Connie Law, the prettiest female most men have ever seen. Some said she was ruthless, a killer, and too bold; others found her a gentle and caring soul. Her hair was golden sunlight, and her eyes were the color of the sea. She rode the winds of hell to rewrite her history. Connie was quiet. She could fool some, but make no mistake, she was good with her guns.
Mary Law left her home in Maine and traveled to Texas with her young husband and would become a prisoner of his deceit and treachery. She gave Zack five sons, and her husband would own them all. Zackary Law had a hatred for women, and if he loved anything, it was money. Connie and Mary suffered painfully at the hands of Zack until he and his three eldest sons were killed in an Indian attack, which would change the town of Murder Creek forever. The raid took Connie and several other girls from their homes and families. They would learn the laws of survival or die.

Autoren-Porträt von Tana Sherratt
I learned quickly as a child that love was a desert of emotions that could come and go as the rain. I smiled often, played quietly by myself, and created my own little world. Writing became my lifeline, the tool to bridge a lonely place inside myself, and bridge it I have. I’m a published writer with several poetry awards for my work that is in many poetry annuals, books, and magazines. I’ve published three books: one short story, one children’s Christmas story book, two country records, and a few clues for a well-known board game. Connie Law is my fourth book. I’m working on my fifth, Boundaries, which will be out soon.I’m the third child of three born to my dear mother and wonderful father. I’m in the midst of writing another lengthy novel entitled The Bipolar Connection, which is a true story. I adore the closeness, love, and comfort that I share with my third and last husband, my dearest George. We have spent the past thirty-nine years together, and if God is willing, we’ll just go on. I have three beautiful children, all grown with families of their own. I live in Lebanon, Oregon, where I was born, and my sign is Leo (born on the July 29, 1947). I love books, art in any form, and creating. My personality is all over the pages. You’ll find my children, husband, family, and maybe yourself between the lines also.
