In summary, I think the book has three main features:Firstly, the content is rich and novel with strong local flavor.This book, rooted in the reality of foreign language teaching in middle schools in China, truly and objectively reflects the status of middle school foreign language teachers' identity under different age backgrounds in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.The book also introduces the important concepts of management, "e;sense of organizational support"e; and "e;work engagement"e; into the study of teacher identity, and analyses their impact on middle school foreign language teachers' identity.Secondly, the theoretical research is deepened.This book redefines the identity of foreign language teachers in middle schools from a sociocultural perspective, defining the theoretical structure of four dimensions and eight factors, and forming a questionnaire with good reliability and validity.Thirdly, the research data are diverse and mutually corroborated.The book combines qualitative and quantitative methods. It combines large sample questionnaires, case studies, interviews and classroom observations. To a certain extent, it makes up for the shortcomings of qualitative research that is too subjective and quantitative, and improves the reliability and validity of the research.
