Autoren-Porträt von Lauren Lee Merewether, Gracie Stathers, Kimberly C. Miller, Louisa Bauman, Nola Li Barr
Nola Li Barr loves books so much that she once shipped ten boxes back from Taiwan because she couldn’t bear to part with them. As an American Born Chinese (ABC) she’s always had one foot in each culture, Chinese and American. Forever a storyteller, Nola finally left the corporate world to write full time and share her whimsical tales. Forbidden Blossom is her first novel.Just another mom pretending to be an author. Wait! I really AM an author!! I have published one novel, one novella, and one children's book. I write sixteenth century historical fiction from my home in beautiful Southern Ontario. I live in the country helping my husband and eight kids raise organic pigs, and we also raise sheep, horses, laying hens, and two Great Pyrenees puppies who are almost as big as the pony.
Writing is my work, my hobby, my escape, and my life--after my family, of course. (Some days, they probably wonder!)
Before I dedicated my time to writing, I had a huge vegetable garden that was admired by my family, friends, and neighbors. Now my back can't do it anymore, so my daughters take care of it now.
I have made dozens of quilts for our beds and for my children, but I've never sold any. I like to read and draw and scrapbook, but I don't usually like cooking and baking. I love to eat though! Chocolate is my favorite food, and coffee is also good to have while writing. I like to connect with my readers and fellow authors on Facebook.

Kimberly Miller began dreaming of becoming an author at the age of eight years old. Books and reading have always been her passion, and writing has given her a way to unite that love of books with history, another passion of hers. The victorian era in particular holds a special fascination for her, perhaps from reading so many L.M. Montgomery books as a child. She often feels that she was born a century too late.
Kimberly’s days are kept busy homeschooling and caring for her large and often chaotic household of eight children. She and her husband live with their brood on 19 acres in rural Maine. There they keep horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, parakeets, and a snail.

With her debut novel, A Long Journey: from Steam to Cyber, Gayel, a sixth-generation New Zealander, has started using the pen name Gracie Stathers.
“This was my mother’s name and it was Gracie who taught me to appreciate history and understand how things in the past impact on future generations.”
Gayel trained in osteopathy and naturopathy and opened a clinic in Tauranga where she was in practice for thirty years. During that time she wrote two books on health and wellbeing: Magnets Restore Health and Health in a Minute.
