Excel Ogugbue has mentored and touched the lives of many youths and students. Through academic seminars, junior achievement, teaching in schools, volunteer tutoring, and youth programs, Excel has touched many lives by sharing his unique story. Excel holds a B.Eng. (First Class) degree from Federal University of Technology, Owerri, in Nigeria, an MS degree from University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and a PhD degree from the University of Oklahoma, all in petroleum engineering.
