Autoren-Porträt von Janice Phillips
Janice Phillips, self-starter and go-getter, earned a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting in the state of Louisiana. Because of her passion for helping others, she volunteered as a night-call counselor with Associated Catholic Charities to assist individuals who were having issues or concerns with teenage and/or unplanned pregnancies. She also volunteered with assisting senior citizens by delivering food commodities to their homes in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Later she volunteered as an adult literacy tutor with the YMCA Adult Literacy Program of Slidell, Louisiana. And, when volunteers were requested to assist with tutoring elementary age students in Slidell, Louisiana, Janice once again volunteered to assist with that effort.
Janice relocated to Texas and, again, answered the call to provide assistance as a volunteer, providing computer literacy training to adults who were striving to learn computer skills.
While working with the computer literacy program, she began truck driving school. She completed the truck driving course, obtained her CDL license, and became an over-the-road truck driver.
Janice also completed an insurance adjuster’s course and obtained an insurance adjuster’s license, issued by the state of Texas. Soon after giving up over-the-road driving, completing the training, and receiving the necessary endorsements for driving a school bus, she became a school bus driver.
Her writing journey began with writing verses of song lyrics, with the intent of being a songstress. Her desire to be a songstress never materialized, but her desire for writing meaningful verses never ceased.
After some time, Janice expanded her writing by making notes on the various options that could be taken, in any given situation, and the possible outcomes. Later she broke down the notes and began transforming them into complete sentences. As the number of sentences grew, so did her imagination. She allowed her imagination to take charge, and she

began expounding on the sentences with the hope of completing a novel.
As she waded through the many challenges and distractions that she faced while writing Destiny via Frustrations, Janice endeavored to keep hope alive. While the challenges and distractions slowed the progress of completing the novel, they never slowed her ambition to keep marching forward.
She continued the forward march, enlightened and inspired by the words in the sentences that she structured. She added to the sentences and marveled as the sentences became paragraphs and those paragraphs were transformed into a novel.
