The reason that this book's name is Dream Realized in Ancestral Hall of Zeng Gong is that the ancestral hall of Zeng Gong is the symbol of prosperity and common belief of our Zeng family for hundreds of years. It has a long history, having been damaged and rebuilt for many times in history. By "e;the Great Cultural Revolution"e;, it was totally destroyed, abandoned for nearly half a century as dilapidated wall, which is very heartbreaking to see. Therefore, rebuilding the Hall has become an important task for Zeng family and our urgent dream as descendants of Zeng family. It would also be the Holy land for relatives of Zeng family home and abroad to worship ancestors. The building of it realized our dream for a hundred years as descendants of Zeng family. Dream Realized in Ancestral Hall of Zeng Gong is composed of Volume 1 and 2. Volume 1 is divided into four chapters, mainly tracks the origin of Chinese culture of ancestor hall, states the forming of ancestor hall of Zeng Gong and the difference between it and other halls, introduces the changes, ups and downs of ancestor hall and historical facts of eight times of rebuildings and moving stories in the whole process of rebuilding. Many relatives proposde and organized financial raisings, enabling the project completed successfully in such a short time. Volume 2 is divided into five chapters. Mainly introduces the classic stories of Zeng Gong being man, being official and being scholar. He was well-known in the country and was rewarded special hall by emperor, even enlarges his influence on descendants. These stories are good examples of his age and inspire descendants to win honor for family with loyalty and filial duty in mind.
