Why I'm qualified to write this book?
I believe I can write about sleeping disorders because I spent many years, tired. I still prepare myself every night for the ritual of falling asleep and staying asleep.

Falling asleep early was uncharacteristic of me all through the teenage years.
I thought it was great staying up late to watch late night TV, then.
I took complete advantage of my parents when my mother had to work in the evening hours and dad would hit the sack early. I couldn't fall asleep before midnight even if you paid me...
My biological clock was out of sync with the rest of the world.

I barely slept syndrome lasted during my college days. Those were the days when it was a perfect complement to late nights studying or going out on weekends and dancing till dawn.
When I discovered over the counter sleep aids, I finally was able to sleep through the night. The morning after was full of regrets and grogginess.
It became more and more difficult to wake up in the morning on time and function throughout the day. I was always tired and by the end of the day, exhausted.
I gave that up for Doctor prescribed drugs. I slept well and woke easily, although the dependency on drugs to help me sleep soon became an addiction.

Here I am, about to enter my forties hooked on prescription drugs to help me fall asleep.
I knew there had to be a better way. I had to learn how to fall sleep without the use of drugs. I was determined so I tried many so called techniques, including everything from hypnotherapy to hot toddies to fall asleep.
After years of wrestling with myself I began using certain practices that developed into the form of rituals.
Repeating the rituals made it easier to release blocked energy and to cleanse my soul from negative emotions I picked up through the day. What I shared in the book is the many solutions that worked for me.
Now, I am happy to say I sleep well because, I've learned how to use energy properly,
