etc, as well as those that were cannibals, and the biggest meat-eating

Africa. Details are given about where they were found, the meaning
of their scientific names, and their size and diet. Spectacular,
colourful illustrations bring the creatures vividly to life; photographs,
maps and line drawings further illustrate the subject, while
'Unsolved' and 'Up close' panels add to the intrigue.

Autoren-Porträt von Anusuya Chinsamy-Turan
Anusuya Chinsamy-Turan is a distinguished scientist andpalaeobiologist. She holds a PhD from Wits, is a Fellow of UCT, and
president of the Association of South African Women in Science and
Engineering. In 2005, she received the 'Distinguished Woman in
Science' award from the Department of Science and Technology. She is
widely published in academic journals and popular media. This is her
first children's book.
