Miriam Katz, M.D., began her medical studies at the medical academy in Wroclaw, Poland and completed them at the Hebrew University Hadassah medical school, Jerusalem, in 1963. After completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Soroka Medical Center, she spent 3 years as a Fellow and Research Fellow in Maternal-Fetal medicine at the department of obstetrics and Gynecology, New York Medical University Medical Center, New York. She is presently serving as the head of maternal-fetal medicine unit at the division of obstetrics and Gynecology, Soroka medical centre, Beer-Sheba, Israel. Her academic appointments included the titles of lecturer, senior lecturer, and associate Professor of Obsterics and Gynecology at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheba, Israel, and Clinical Assistant Professor of OB/GYN at the New York University School of Medicine. Her Research activities are represented by chapters in four books and 72 scientific articles published in prestigious medical journals.

Israel Meizner received his M.D. degree (with distinction) in 1977 at the Tel-Aviv University Sackler Medical School, Israel. He then completed his residency in Obsterics and Gynecology at the Soroka Medical Center, Beer-Sheba, Israel. In 1983, he spent a year's fellowship at the Division of Obstetric Ultrasound, King's College Hospital, London. During this period, he was involved in the research regarding fetal and uterine blood flow measurements. Since 1987, he has served as Head of the Ultrasound Unit at the Soroka Medical center. Dr Meizner's academic career began in 1981. At present he holds the degree of Senior Lecturer in OB/GYN at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheba. His research activities have been centered at the different applications of sonography on obstetrics.
