First Corinthians 12:13 (King James Version) states, For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. This scripture assures us that we should not compare one another as human beings because the spirit cant really compete with itself. Why? Its because whoever we are and whatever assignment weve been given, we can only do it by the same Holy Spirit breathed within us, and that spirit operates with the same power in every human being. It appears to be one of those laws placed in the universe, the same as the law of gravity. The law of spirit cant be changed by the saved or unsaved, Jews or Gentiles, by people with broken spirits, or those who are confident and whole; actuated power is based on knowledge, experience, and maturity of its existence in us and will manifest itself based on a series of twist and turns, highs and lows, ebbs and flows, calamities, and consolations until we understand how it works.
As we mature, we learn to navigate around difficult timeslike nonsupportive people and unexpected situationsas Spirit guides each of us to our true assignments. This book was written to compare the spiritual journeys of Joseph and David, two anointed men in the Bible who were granted the privilege of carrying two different mantles guided by the same Holy Spirit to demonstrate different expected ends.
In reading this book and getting a clearer more lucid understanding of how Spirit works, hopefully, it will encourage you to continue journeying while ignoring negative distractions such as people and/or circumstances until you realize Gods purpose for you and learn to relax so that Spirit can prompt and excite you towards your own specifically designed plan and outcome. (King James Version: Jeremiah 11:29) Read the narratives of Joseph and David first then analyze the Holy Spirits power at work! Youre certainly welcome to use this book for Sunday school lessons, small religious classes, or just as a teaching tool to build the faith of yourself and your children.

Autoren-Porträt von Beryl Lynette Lofland
Beryl Lynette Lofland, a retiree of Baltimore City Schools after years of dedicated service in planning, teaching, and instructing students from early childhood to high school, always evidenced a desire to put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard to express her thoughts on paper. She graduated from Coppin State College (now a university) with a bachelor of science degree in special education (K-12), received a masters degree from Notre Dame in administration, leadership and supervision and later obtained an academic advance certificate. She operated in several academic management positions to team with other individuals in other educational disciplines to ensure the special education students were properly placed according to specific disabilities and academic needs. However, her greatest pleasure was working directly with the students, creating motivational environments exclusively for writing. She also demonstrated several presentations to colleagues to provoke students to journal, write short stories, and just to begin to get their thoughts on paper.Beryl, born together with a twin, has always had a love of putting pen to paper with expressing her feelings from an early age. She would play with her twin and other friends for a while but would steal away to journal or write poetry to abstract different emotions she felt, writing them down in her black and white composition book.
Beryl attempted to write a short novel about a young girl whose sister died, and the young girl got through her grief through counseling and other measures, never forgetting the sister she loved. She allowed a neighbor from next door to proof it, and she red penned it and, as constructively as she knew how, expressed dissatisfaction with how depressing and morbid the book was turning out to be. She put the book away and never attempted to write again.
In later years, it was ironic how one of the pastors in her place of worship encouraged the women to journal to get through

difficult times and celebrate good times and just wait and listen for Gods response by keeping a daily journal. Then the women were encouraged to look back from year to year to review and reflect on outcomes. It is ironic that her mother wanted her to write a book, but when her mother requested it, Beryl was in her striving years working diligently to raise her son. Her son is grown, and shes retired from a job.
