As the crime happens in the oddities side show, the characters in that show team up to help him. Sammy the Snake Man, Marvella the bearded lady and others try to help Ed as he snoops around for a story for his newspaper.

Mickey Scheuring, born and raised in Chango County, New York, received her college degree at State University of New York at Delhi in the Animal Science program. In the past she has worked as a labe technician in a variety of laboratories. She is an ongoing student of acrylic painting and writing at a local college in Pittsburgh, PA area where she resides with her husband. Mickey delved into the writing field with the Eddie Riley mystery series. She has published two previous books about Eddie, her brash and reckless young newsman and views him as her alter-ego and exciting companion in an imaginary small town.
