Dear All,
The International Community should be advised that the leadership of the United Nations is currently in dispute.
Due to the UN's inability to manifest Peace and Prosperity in the world, the UN is like a lost puppy, which needs guidance by the NGO Community to restore its integrity, virtue and power in the International Community.
As things stand, the UN is failing to uphold its moral obligation of protecting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in countries such as Ukraine, Russia, England, Myanmar, Iran, North Korea, Haiti, Belarus, Sudan, Syria, El Salvador and Afghanistan.
To restore Peace and Prosperity in the International Community, it is imperative that all Russian forces withdraw from Ukraine.
Already on 2 March 2022, the UN General Assembly adopted- by an overwhelming majority of 141 against 5 -a resolution rejecting the Russian Federation's brutal invasion of Ukraine and demanding that Russia immediately withdraw its forces and abide by international law.
So why did this UN resolution have no effect? The answer is simple: Because the UN has no power over Russia.
In fact, the UN has no power at all; as its authority to uphold International Law in the world, hinges on the UN Security Council (UNSC).
The UN Security Council (UNSC) is too divided and weak to keep the peace in the world; since it's defined and controlled by the five permanent members of the UNSC - namely Russia, China, France, the UK and the US - each nation having its own political agenda, putting political issues before humanitarian issues, with the result that the UN Security Council is failing badly to uphold the UDHR and UNCRC in the world.
In other words, the UN Security Council (UNSC) is a lame duck.
This must change. Officials in charge of the UNSC must be non-governmental officials, selected by an independent international body.
Dictatorial regimes - such as the Putin regime and the Kremlin - should not be permitted to hold sway over the UNSC; so that International Law can be upheld and illegal wars can be prevented in the world - such as Vladimir Putin's illegal war on Ukarine.
Also, the International Criminal Court (ICC) should have the power to bring terrorists, violent extremists and war criminals to justice and detain them in secure prisons - not only to prevent terrorism and war crimes, but also to prevent civilian casualties of military operations - so that the UDHR and the UNCRC can be manifested in the International Community.
