At the tail end of a fishing trip, Jake and Butch are near a beach when they see a woman being chased through a parking lot by two young men, one of whom is carrying a gun. Jake comes to her rescueand thats how he meets Beth Goodwyne. Beth is also a widow, and it seems the men chasing her were her stepsons. As Jake and Beth get to know each other, they find themselves quickly falling in love, together finding affection and caring that their earlier relationships lacked. But Beths stepsons still pose a threat; will Jake be able to keep her safe?
