Henrys caretaker, Nurse Lynn, is his only personal contact as he declines. This novel brings to the fore the tragedy of Alzheimer's disease sweeping the world as the aging population swells by unprecedented numbers. One in five adults over sixty will face this disease in their lifetime. Their caretakers will be overwhelmed by stress, depression, guilt and confusion as their loved ones are transformed into unrecognizable human beings. There is no cure for Alzheimer's disease, only a brief sojourn to the end. Henry's Memoir describes that journey through the declining short term memory of Henry Watkins.
