Dr. D R Thakur, is former Chairman Dept. of Biosciences, has guided 2 PDF, 8 PhD, 36 M Phil students, completed 4 Research Projects of different granting agencies and published about 160 research papers of national and international repute. He is life members of many national and International academic bodies and visited many foreign nations in context with academic activities. He is member expert of State Wetland Authority, HIMCOSTE, Govt. of HP, Member Task Force, MOEF&CC, Govt. of India, and Member expert, Evaluator, Examiner, Research Advisor and Moderator of many State and Central Universities and State Public Service Commissions. D R Thakur has been awarded 6 Prizes and Awards by different agencies and societies and published 13 new and first records from India. He is also pioneer to compile the faunal diversity of a high altitude wetland, "Chandertal" a Ramsar Site in Trans Himalayas.
Dr. Seema Rai, Professor, Department of Zoology, Dean School of Studies of Life Science, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, CG, India, Grew up in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, received her Bachelor's degree with Zoology Honors from Parana University, Bihar India, Post graduation and Ph. D. (Zoology) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi India. She has been awarded as DST-Young Scientist, CSIR- Pool Scientist. Dr Rai and availed PDF for European Fellowship in to work in collaboration of Department of Pharmacology, University of Insubria ,Varese, Italy and Institute of Pathology, Locarno Switzerland. She is recipient of the most prestigious awards of INSA Visiting Scientist under INSA Bilateral ExchangeProgram at Department of Vertebrate Physiology, University of Warsaw, Poland in 2012.Recently she has being honored with S L Mishra Medal Award, BIOVED Fellow Award 2020, BRIATS, Allahabad, Dr. Mrs. Jagadiswari Rao Women Scientist Award-2021 and many moreher outstanding contribution in the field of Reproductive Biology and Neuroendocrinology. Professor Rai has successfully guided three Ph. Ds and 04 Scholars are presently perusing their Ph. D. She has more than 60 publications in her credit along with one international book. Professor Rai is life member of various society and editorial member of many peer reviewed National and International Journals.
