Is It Okay To Pray In Tongues In Church? Fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus, God began His New Testament Church with an event that has caused controversy ever since. It was on the Day of Pentecost and the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues and magnify God. We need to stop allowing the unbelievers and uninformed to dictate how the church is to operate and allow God to be in charge. The Day of Pentecost was the day the earthly ministry of Jesus ended and the earthly ministry of the Holy Spirit began. It's the power of God that Satan has no control of and it's the most powerful weapon the Church has against spiritual wickedness in high places. This book is a verse-by-verse argument in defense of First Corinthians chapter 14. The Apostles were willing to stand for it in Jerusalem and so should we to the uttermost parts of the world.
