James Norman Hall (1887-1951) was an American author best known for his collaboration with Charles Nordhoff in writing adventure tales and historical fiction. Born in Colfax, Iowa, Hall was initially a student at Grinnell College before leaving to serve in the British and then American air forces during World War I.
