A Hideous Haunting.
A Subaqueous Fright.
A Ghoulish Curse.
Mirror of Tar:
Within the bedroom of our terrified narrator exists something birthed from a pestilent, stewing cauldron, but what's most disturbing is what lives in his bathroom mirror. Will he find a way to cease the nightmarish haunting before entities from fearsome realms come for him?
Bathysphere:
James Cunning is a passionate marine biologist, wishing to complete the deepest Bathysphere dive in history, and in turn, discover new aquatic species. But as he is lowered into the gloomy depths, he quickly finds out he is not up to the task.
Dead Man's Boots:
A desert wanderer is relieved to find himself a new pair of boots, stealing them from a desiccated corpse. What he doesn't know, however, is the terrible and horrible death that man suffered within an accursed, parallel world.
What readers are saying about Jeff Liboiron's Weird Tales
"Jeff's ability to keep the reader entertained and engaged is something to experience! The apparent ease with which he writes his characters, ranging from broken and tormented, to clever and humorous makes them relatable yet mysterious, while the attention to detail paid to the plot lines leaves the reader second guessing if these twisted tales are truly made up by the author, or something that he lived to tell about. Get ready...you are about to go places and see things that you didn't know existed!"
H.H
"Jeff has an infectious writing style. It leaves the reader begging for more. The momentum of each story leaves the reader feeling like they have been in a high-speed chase, coming out the other side somewhat battered and bruised. Jeff's use of timing and imagery leave the reader hanging in a state of visceral, emotional electrifying charge. Some of the endings are a complete surprise. Clever visual and sensory description; leaves the reader visibly shaken and wanting more."

EXCERPTS:
Mirror of Tar Excerpt:
Before I recount my story, I must first tell you about the phobia I have for demonic beings. I am terrified of ghosts and things unexplained. Of the disfigurements and sunken faces of the possessed. Of the scratching and screeching, emitting from their mouths as they crawl and scrape at me in my dreams, leaving streaks of filth and blackened fingernails embedded in the wooden floor of my bedroom.
Bathysphere Excerpt:
There is a hollow hum in my ear, but not from the radio. It is the sea either welcoming or despising my presence. Of which, I can't be sure, but the hum drones on, lower and louder and then rises not another decibel. The creaking and whirring and the ink outside the porthole is horrible and for a quick, spooked second, I slam my palm at the door, wishing to be free of the sudden onset of claustrophobia which I haven't had at any point in my life until now.
Dead Man's Boots Excerpt:
While I might say that no man scares me and while that may or may not be the truth, the truth is that men are flesh, bone, and muscle. They can be stabbed and shot and beaten with calloused knuckles. This is known, but what scares me the most is what isn't known and it was on the first night in the desert when I was introduced to this concept.
