Long presents the biblical story of Jonah with historical details of the time while weaving fictional characters and events that present the prophet as a real man fighting the call of God on his life. Beginning prior to his call to Nineveh, we follow Jonah as he runs from God, reluctantly obeys God, and is amazed and even angered at the mercy of God. In the process, we learn as much about ourselves as we do the prophet.
Autoren-Porträt von Jimmy A. Long
Jimmy A. Long is the founding pastor of Grace Fellowship of Greensboro, Georgia. He has served in full-time ministry since 1989. Jimmy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Nancy have two children, Jackie and Jay, who have grown up to love Jesus, family, and the church.
