Writing has always been an escape from the world around her and a way for her to voice her deepest emotions. Geneva was elected class president for her freshman, sophomore, and junior year of high school. In her position of leadership, Geneva realized that girls sometimes struggle to be heard or valued. She wrote this fictional childrens book in response to specific situations in which she felt the need to downplay her femininity and out-of-the-box thinking in order to be considered intelligent by others. Geneva hopes her story will empower others to love themselves and find confidence in their unique strengths.
