Finally, I have attempted to give an insight to the theories, concepts and language used in social work, and explains these in 'every day' language. This story line will not only help readers to understand the lives of children in residential care but it will also help to explain the theories and concepts I have used in this book. These are my own opinions and assessments of events, and to that end it is fair to say that, all assessments are a personal concept, based upon knowledge, beliefs and value systemsThis book will leave you with a cascade of emotions, and doubtless, some people will find this to be a shocking and scary account of events.
