"There is definitely something wrong with me. I cannot explain it in words, but I feel that I am different from others. While everyone else seems to be happy to be part of a prosperous society, I have a certain amount of discomfort with feeling like a member of it. I do not share the idea of ¿¿schismaticism, and I do not believe that the inhabitants of the Base need to subjugate the Firm, becoming the rulers of everyone living on the planet. But sometimes it seems to me that the Elders' planetary policy is wrong, and the Labels mission is doomed to failure. For several hundred years now we have been protecting humanity from collapse, preventing it from taking the last, final step into the abyss of self-destruction. But at the same time, life still suffers a fiasco. Even without wars and clashes, the number of people is rapidly declining. Can't the Elders fail to understand this? Why are they not taking any steps to fix this state of affairs? Our geneticists could intervene and help with fertility, and our scientists could pull people up in a technical level, giving them the freedom of space expansion. But why, all we do is empty observation? Is it possible to save people simply by telling the world the truth about the intentions and wrongdoings of each and every one? Is truth a necessary factor in survival? And why the hell, thoughts about this haunt me? ... "
