This book presents a biblical and historical view of marriage, divorce, and remarriage to explore the heart of God on these subjects. It is intended to provide critical insights needed for counselors to provide biblical based counseling for these difficult and challenging topics that lead to lifelong fulfilling marriage relationships. Couples who are currently struggling in their marriage will find encouragement and direction for building strong and vibrant marriages. Those that have been divorced will find reason to believe that God can restore and reconcile the broken marriage relationship better than it was in the beginning. Those that have been remarried following a divorce will discover that they can find peace with God and now build a lifelong marriage that honors the vows made with the new spouse.
He received a Bachelor of Theology degree in 1994 and a Master of Theology degree in 1998 from Christian Life School of Theology in Columbus, Georgia. Since that time, he has served as a teacher at Monteagle Institute of Theology in Auburn, Alabama.
He was ordained into the ministry in October, 2000, and he has served as an assistant pastor since then at Believers Church in Auburn, Alabama, where he has been a member since 1989. During this time, Chris has served as a marriage counselor, and has assisted with other pastoral duties at this church. He was married in 1978 and has eight children and ten grandchildren as of 2016.
