The book was published in cooperation with Maria Diekmann, the founder and director of Rare & Endangered Species Trust in Namibia.

Marion von Vlahovits works as a teacher for special needs at a school in a clinic for psychological problems. In 2013 she published her first book: Julian und die Wutsteine. Since then, she has regularly written and published books for children. In her stories, she not only addresses topics that she encounters in her work environment. Animals also often play a crucial role in her books. Since most children love animals, this helps them to approach more difficult topics.
