Autoren-Porträt von Overton Chambers
Overton Chambers started his professional writing career in 2002, publishing stories in The Laurel, a regional magazine. The articles were coauthored with his wife, Isabel Hall Chambers. In 2005, Overton published The Inheritance, the first book in the High Glen series. In 2009, he and his wife published Remembering Highlands: From Pioneer Village to Mountain Retreat, which contains true stories of their town as it was many years ago. Overton Chambers has had a varied career path, beginning as a sawmill roustabout, Dartmouth College graduate, a blacksmith, grocery clerk, furniture salesman, insurance executive, and has practiced real estate for more than thirty-five years. He is past member of the North Carolina Writers Network and the Highlands' Writer's Group. He and his wife enjoyed several trips abroad over the years and had the pleasure of hosting newfound Scottish friends in their stateside home.
Overton had more stories than time and succumbed to a higher place in 2013. His wife, three sons, and their families, whom live in another idyllic setting, similar to the fictional High Glen, survive him. Overton loved his family (especially his childhood sweetheart/bride), his church, genealogy, singing, and playing all types of music, playing his bagpipes, Scotland, and writing.
Lost and Found was first published by the author as an e-book and is the second in the High Glen Trilogy. The third book was written by the author and will be published at a later time.
