Stacy “Simply Stacy” Wilson is a passionate poet, author, motivational speaker, and visionary who first developed a love for “using her words” at the tender age of 13.
Over the years, life experiences composed of trials, swift transitions and triumphs have provided a platform for Stacy’s artistic perspective. Her notebooks were bursting at the seams prompting Stacy to begin sharing her work publically. Armed with a warm and infectious smile, along with a sincere desire to uplift and encourage others, Stacy’s journey of using words to reach out to the world began.
Sharing her work throughout the Metro Atlanta area at open mic events and community gatherings, Stacy is quickly becoming a fan favorite among local poets. When asked to describe the reception she receives from audiences during her spoken word performances Stacy commented, “I now know this journey that began with my poetry is meant to be. All I had to do was say yes…all I had to do was agree to follow God’s plan for me.”
It is Stacy’s overall desire to “use her words” to impact others positively; sharing her gifts with all who will listen by acting as a mirror; one that reflects God’s love and compassion. With the 2012 release of her debut spoken word CD, “Love & Worship: A Lyrical Journey for the Heart & Soul” along with her first collection of published poems which will bear the same name as her CD, Stacy has set her sights on the global stage. Filled with exuberant elation and overflowing with optimism Stacy is in one word…READY; to give her all, to gain new friends and to GO where only GOD can take her!
