Sister Mary is a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Atlantic Midwest Province. Maverick McCarthy, the illustrator, is from Mahwah, NJ. She was a senior at the Academy of the Holy Angels, class of 2016, when she illustrated this book. She is now a student at the Savanna College of Art and Design majoring in illustration with a concentration in Publication Design with a minor in Marine Design.
