Produktinformationen zu „MATLAB for ENGINEERING and EXPERIMENTAL SCIENCES. MATRIX ALGEBRA (ePub)“
MATLAB is a scientific software specially designed to work with matrix algebra. Its name stands for Matrix LABoratory (MATrix LABoratory). The program uses matrix calculus internally for most of its processes.
The book begins by dealing with symbolic and numerical variables, with emphasis on vector and matrix variables, both in the real field and in the complex field. Special emphasis is also placed on working with functions that admit real and complex vectors and matrices as arguments. This is followed by an exhaustive explanation of all the operations in matrix algebra, including advanced functions that admit matrices as arguments (exponential, logarithmic, etc.). The theory of similar matrices, the operation with eigenvalues and eigenvectors and the diagonalisation of matrices are developed. A specific section is devoted to sparse matrices and other types of special matrices. This is followed by work with sequences, arrays, lists, tables and sets, analysing the realtions of these structures with vectors and matrices. Finally, an important section is devoted to equations, systems, vector spaces and linear applications from a matrix perspective.
