Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).This work comprises 798 peer-reviewed papers on Mechatronics and Intelligent Materials, and seeks to promote the development of those topics by strengthening international academic cooperation and communication via the exchange of research ideas. It will provide readers with a broad overview of the latest advances made in the fields of mechatronics and intelligent materials.The six volumes in this set were assembled before the conference, and contain the 800 or so papers that were selected from the more than 2000 submissions. Researchers, engineers, and academicians, most from low and middle income countries, trade research results and development activities in mechatronics and intelligent materials. About half of the papers are devoted to mechatronics - systems and devices that combine mechanical and electronic components. The rest are divided between manufacturing and design science, and material engineering and science. One small sampling of topics turns up the hydraulic relationship between Molin River and groundwater, the dynamic modeling and motion simulation of a movable-winged underwater glider, digital design technology in contemporary architecture, the design of a domestic wastewater reuse system, and assessing the damage to a reinforced concrete structure after fire.
