Produktinformationen zu „Memoir: a Charged Life (ePub)“
The book chronicles the life story of a woman pioneer in the electrical trade. It begins with the early childhood experiences that formed her approach to life. The empowerment of feminism was a natural result of her changed life that lead her into teaching, nursing, farming and the formation of her own electrical contracting company. Another aspect in the book is her journey from realism to faith. The dynamic tension between both of these themes and the resolution of them is the substory in this very interesting memoir.
Autoren-Porträt von Pat Stanley-Beals
Patricia (Pat) Stanley-Beals is a 72 year old survivor. She has loved and been loved by friends and family, inspiring many with her stength and resilience. Marriage and circumstances caused her to define her independents and hone her talents early on. As an artist, she has sold many of her works, but it is her accomplishment as the first woman master electrician in Maine, that is most singular. In her desire to pursue a career of interest that would take care of her family, she undertook schooling and then followed in a field that many women would never have pursued, opening it for some who might have similar learnings. She has done so with integrity, wit, persistence, wisdom in dealing with people, and by simply doing a great job. Most of all, whatever she has put her hand to, has brought blessings to many. As her sister, she has been a guide, a teacher, and a stalwart believer in all things True and Good. When later in life she became a born-again Christian, her life and her works have continued to bless others. Her smile as she works with the elderly, her family, her clients, as well as her church family, lightens the load and brings Light and Joy into the lives of all whom she touches. She was my surrogate mother, as I was the youngest in the family of five girls, and I have always looked up to her. Her life, her sense of beauty, her Light, have always been an inspiration to me. I hope you, the reader, will find this to be true for you, as well.Margo Beals Torelli 2013
