Especially people who suffer from stress and lack inner peace can benefit greatly from it. If the idea of mindfulness doesn't mean much to you, then you can help yourself with the word presence. Because that's what it's all about: living presently in the here and now. Love, live, laugh and - fall on your face. No more evading, no more pushing away, no more glossing over. Being able to take life as it is. And see that it is good. Even if it is perhaps not so good right now. These words sound a little enthusiastic, and that is on purpose. Because that is exactly what can be experienced with presence and mindfulness - enthusiastic living. Not necessarily in exuberance, but provided with the drive to continuously move one's own life forward in a positive sense. But since this kind of liveliness is not based on any hocus-pocus finger-snapping trick, it all comes at a price: your time and attention. So much for deterrence. Although there is some reading in the book, it is less about the theory and more about the practice of mindfulness. The course is built up of eight sections each lasting one week. It is best to read through each week's material and then practise the related exercises for that week. The audio instructions (.mp3) will guide you through the exercises. You can either play these files online on your device (Kindle, tablet, smartphone, laptop, PC). Or you can download the files and use them offline on any mp3-capable device. For Apple users: Text and design are also reproduced well on Iphone and Ipad (as of 4/2022).
