Fay Hewlett grew up in the Welsh mining village of Aberfan but due to her involvement with the armed forces spent most of her adult life moving location and changing careers.A deep fascination with mermaids and fairies in her childhood stayed with her throughout her life this combined with the accumulation of spiritual training in Anglelic Riki and Kinesiology lead her on a creative path of writing chilren's stories.
Working part time in a cafe with young adults and observing customers has given her the material needed to write this book. Monday afternoons spent painting with a friend inspired her to draw and paint the illustrations. She is now living back in Wales in the beautiful area of Brecon Beacons National Park.
