Davina Bell (Author) Davina Bell is a writer from Western Australia. She is the author of the Alice books in the best-selling Our Australian Girl series, and picture books including The Underwater Fancy-dress Parade, illustrated by Allison Colpoys, which won the 2016 Australian Book Industry Award for Best Children's Book from a Small Publisher, Hattie Helps Out with Jane Godwin and illustrated by Freya Blackwood, and Oh Albert! illustrated by Sara Acton. For six years she was a Senior Editor at Penguin Books in the Young Readers Division, where she worked with some of our country's most beloved children's book creators. Davina now lives in Melbourne, where she still dreams about the Western Australian beaches while drinking a lot of very good coffee.
Lucia Masciullo (Illustrator)
Lucia Masciullo grew up in Livorno, Tuscany, among smells of saltiness and rosemary. She always loved painting and after graduating in Biology she decided to pursue her dream career as an artist. In 2006 she moved to Brisbane and since then has been happily working as a fine art painter and freelance illustrator. She has recently illustrated Sonya Hartnett's The Boy and Toy.
