They work together as a team, starting and running a canoe rental business in the small Missouri town of Eminence, Missouri. Over the course of a twelve-year marriage, they are blessed with three children. Life is beautiful, and life is great! Sure, entrepreneurs have hard times, but they have each other, and life isn't always perfect in a marriage, but they are a team!

Suddenly, tragedy strikes their family of five, leaving them grieving the loss of their eldest daughter, Gracie. Bryce and Chloe are faced with the difficult road ahead of them. Will their grief separate them, or will they decide to comfort each other in the aftermath of tragedy?
