The Philippine Humanities Review (PHR) publishes scholarly, critical, and analytical works on the various aspects of Philippine culture, the arts and letters, as well as creative works in the broad field of the humanities.This special issue of the Philippine Humanities Review, edited by Gonzalo Campoamor II, is a collection of essays originally read in the 2008 College of Arts and Letters (CAL) forum on research agenda and two additional papers pertinent to the theme.
