I have wanted to be an author for as long as I can remember. At an early age, I was introduced to role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Vampire: The Masquerade. It was a great means of escape and also a good way to meet people. Unfortunate events led me away from pursuing my dream of being a published author. Instead, I worked in the field of dentistry for twenty-five years. However, recent changes have put me back on the path of becoming an author.
The decision to write for young readers is due to my two beautiful children—my eight-year-old son, Orion, and my six-year-old daughter, Stevie. My husband, Esteban, and I have been together for nearly fifteen years, and he has been my inspiration and my best friend.
